What do you think of them netbooks?
I'm thinking of selling my desktop and buy something a little more portable. I saw an Acer Aspire One walmart for less $ 300. Intel Atom 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB hard drive, Intel GMA 950 graphics, and Windows XP (will definitely be installing Linux), wireless, webcam, card reader, all that good stuff. Should be powerful enough for what I do. But what do you think about Acer? * Also what do you think about the Acer? Yes, I know there is no optical drive.
Hey Dude! HOTT I have these toys for a lil phenomenal. Did I say toy? Yes-For some this is what they are. Consider that w / o Atom processor and FSB speed wussy, you will get the performance level of a year 2-3. laptop ages. There limited success, with video on em. Gaming? Why? I can not see anything in a 9 "screen. Notebooks have caused a fever pitch for people who consider small with advanced technology. Acer rules, BTW, the MSI Wind might be my fav, but the rocks AspireOne. HP and Dell's offerings are good, but appeal to those seeking for more than a sophisticated look. Honestly, you can get the Atom, the Via or CeleronM and that's pretty much it. Later this year there will be some new deal improve video performance. It will be nice to 10 "screens. SSDrives What comes w / ANY in bite. They are not what you are horrible expect.Replacments dude. Units ol mechanic is still the leader based on the speed vs. cost. The great thing is that these things are LIGH T and make a statement in a legal manner. I've messed with n Asus 900 ha and the 900A and the Aspire one. Check the used car market 1. I grabbed the 900HA to 320, including an external dual-layer DVD RW. The 900A for under 200 bones. Guy hated the slow speed.
