Acer Aspire 5050 – Can you can reset the password on alt + f10 recovery mode of the system?
The business is a family member has given me a laptop as a virus clean a lot of your windows and after much persistence, I finally got it on your desktop. I want a total factory restore to fix it so I pressed ALT + F10 and I get options that include "restore factory settings" I clicked it and it asks for a pasword. usual pattern is 000,000, but it will work, it seems that they have created a custom password, if that is possible. Is there a way to remove it or find another way circumvent. the ERecover not working on the computer and this virus has a lot rubbed off the computer. Lossing any content on the computer is good, is all backed up, but they do not have a backup of Windows.
