Acer Desktop Will Not Boot
HP managed to enter the netbook market with its HP 2133 Mini-Note model. He has the potential to be one of the mini laptops most successful in the market with a 8.9 "screen and resolution of 1280×768, keyboard, mass (92% of the size of a regular notebook computer), WiFi and Bluetooth and brushed aluminum finish, which is a recipe for a candidate seriously the already established netbooks selling for little more than the leader Asus Eee PC 901 at about 350 pounds.
Unlike other models that seem a little "toy" in comparison, the 2133 is designed for durability with a brushed aluminum cover and chassis of magnesium alloy. A scratch resistant screen 'using an innovative treatment on the upper surface of the notebook LCD Robustness' increased further, although it has been know for people to find this "treatment" very reflective, especially abroad leading display quality of the general.
The enhanced framework takes the total size and weight significantly higher to others of similar size netbooks to 1.27 kg compared with 0.99 kg for the Acer Aspire One and Asus Eee PC 900, and 1.1 kg for the new Asus Eee PC 901 – these are differences, however, tiny.
You can find the 2133 Mini-Note with SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, Windows Vista and XP, although most of the available are the Linux and Vista Business.
A welcome bonus with the largest Mini-Note is the interface large. HP claims that the keyboard is "92% in size original ", which is far away from competing models. The touchpad is reasonable, and in an effort to maximize space, the buttons are located on the sides, similar to Acer Aspire One I found it a bit awkward, but considering the trade off for the larger keyboard, seems to be a better model out, especially for typing.
However it has the CPU performance without hope and battery life (for the 3-cell version, as little as an hour and a half!), That really hurts features superb model. The HP 2133 Mini-Note has a boot-up time ridiculous, while a minute and a half (as apposed to 20 seconds boot-up from cold on the Eee PC 901).
There is also the question of whether you could upgrade to a mini laptop 10 inches, given the general rudeness of the mini-note in comparison with other 8.9 inchers. The marginally greater Asus Eee PC 1000 can be more productive. Yes, it is a bit bigger in all dimensions, but has the added benefit of battery life 8 hours and performance improved significantly. Likewise, the MSI Wind, another 10-incher could also be considered.
In conclusion, there are many features nice HP 2133 Mini-Note, the keyboard, the smarter look and feel, high-resolution screen and good connectivity. Still, poor performance and battery life will to harm the User. In general, the Mini-Note is good buy if you are not running demanding programs (eg, word processing, in which case the keyboard great to provide the hand), but otherwise, the Acer or Asus is the way to go.
But all is not lost! HP is launching a mini laptop trio date, under the HP 1000 Mini brand. Promising a better performance of an Intel Atom 1.6GHz, both 8.9 and 10.2-inch screens and test the MacBook Air in less than an inch thick, weighing 1 pound closer. There is little information about the battery life, but I suspect that some improvements will appear when it comes out in the UK in January 2009. But it is already in the U.S. retail at $ 399, and has its own mini-site
