Asus Desktop Rating

Today most of the netbooks are the same in its basic configuration, including 1GB of RAM and Windows XP. The only notable differences between the settings the netbook are the units – the solid-state drive and the great ability to spin the drive and keyboard layout. Screen sizes are even increasingly standardized 9-10inch. Seems the only breaks the mold technology these days is the Asus N10. You can pay a little more, but the Asus N10 is unique among netbooks, particularly for the switch separate graphics capable and extra ports.
This is a 10.2-inch system, the company that started the netbook craze with its Eee PC. Asus N10 has observed CPU, RAM and operating system. The biggest difference in the N10 is added Asus Nvidia GeForce 9300 graphics Cardinal This is the first graphics offered in a netbook, and you can switch between the GeForce graphics and integrated graphics from Intel.
Netbooks are used mainly for basic tasks, navigate Web and e-mail, however, the Asus N10 is a great travel accessory tough if you like casual games, or if you are addicted to a PC game you can live with resolution limited screen and low CPU power.
There are a few different settings available in Australia N10. The N10JC-HV006 runs about AU $ 1099 complete with an XP Home, a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, a bag and mouse. The N10J-HV024C costs about $ 1199 with Windows Vista Home Premium, a 250GB hard drive, 2GB of RAM, without accessories. The N10J-HV009G runs around AU $ 300 more, but the only difference between this model and the N10J is HV024C a bag and a mouse. If you do not need the extra bag and mouse, Harvey Norman has a unique model that sells for AU $ 999.
The N10 has a keyboard with keys big plans for the area typing maximum. Not as good as the HP 1000 Mini keyboard, which is excellent, but much better than the netbooks with the small buttons. The keyboard of the Asus N10 also corrected the key shift right, which was a problem with the model S101 Asus. The screen is also slightly larger than ten inches (10.2) and has a widescreen LCD which allows for more space work and 1024 A-600 native resolution. While this is readable, most documents and web pages require the reader to go to view the document.referrer This is also a resolution a little embarrassing for games and video content.
There are HDMI and an ExpressCard slot included and these seem to be appreciated by users and the N10 is one of the netbooks just saw that offers these.
The big extra is the N10 Nvidia GeForce – 9300M GS GPU. When the GPU is connected, an application software that is included, allows you to switch to different power saving modes. This has mainly to do with when the display and hard drives will power Down. When you're away from an AC outlet or want to extend the battery life, there is a switch on the left side that turns off the GeForce 9300. (You need to reboot to make this change.)
The N10 performed similarly to other Atom-powered netbooks on benchmark tests. Watching content files HD video was strenuous on the Atom CPU and had an uneven playing, even with the graphics, however, there was no problem with the default file definition video. It was possible to work with images in Photoshop, without slowing down the system, however, the screen resolution was too low to run a Photoshop test correctly.
Gaming performance should be viewed realistically. You can not expect much of an Atom CPU and 1GB of RAM, but with the Asus N10, Unreal Tournament III was a very good experience and certainly playable later he dialed down the resolution to 800A-600 for 29 frames per second and kept the level of detail in the medium term.
Netbooks from Asus are known for its excellent battery life. (It takes six major cell phone batteries). In a test of reproduction video lasted 3hrs.17 min .- better than other netbooks.
