Dell Desktop Boot From Cd
Desktop will not boot, says he does not find any hard drives?
I have 2 hard drives. I thought the IDE cable may be faulty, so I bought a new one. Tried to boot from the recovery cd. Every time I reach a point that says there are no hard drives detected. Does both go bad at the same time? I tried to call them so that each one has been the main unit and / or the slave. Still no data. I would buy a new disk and re-install XP, but I think I would get the same result. I'm guessing that there is a simple trick that I will overcome this problem. I have a Dell Dimesion 4550. 1 hard disk drive is 80-G, and the other is 750 g. The memory is 2G. Thank you.
Check your BIOS boot also to see if they are installed, the file system can yes being corrupt, starting with a boot disk Linux Live, and then format them, I also had this problem, you can also try KillDisk. http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download
