Can I reuse a Bracket CPU (Socket 478) which has a heat sink and fan accustomed to my computer only?
I am rebuilding a Dell Optiplex GX260, putting in a new motherboard, RAM and video card. However, since I'm using a reduced version of the Optiplex desktop, which has its own and heatsink fan that takes the CPU heat, put on a ventilator and runs to the side and not up to traditional heat sinks. I need a sink heat that directs air to the side or it will air only Linder inside the machine. It has a special support that he can use. Is there any way to remove this support and reuse it? I think you're talking about the heat sink and fan. And if I may say it but you will have buy an after market for somewhere between $ 14-20.
