Dell Desktop Memory Upgrade
I want to upgrade the memory. Can I buy a higher speed than the Dell recommends?
I have a Dell XPS 400 desktop and I would like to upgrade the memory. Dell suggests updating the SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300). Can I upgrade to another DDR2 SDRAM running at a faster speed, like 800 (PC2 6400)? This means that I can upgrade to 800?
Its not what Dell recommends that your motherboard is compatible with, if he says 667 you can not use 800 unless you get a new MB thats supports.
