Dell Desktop Not Starting

Why do my desktop icons do not appear on my Dell computer when it starts?
She does it all the time, only occasionally. When he does that, I'm going to show desktop and it will show another box, but also appears showing all my icons too.
Looks like you may have a problem with Windows Explorer. Then again, you have a Dell, which means that you are running Windows XP / Vista. Windows only has problems. There is really no way to fix it.
