Dell Desktop Not Turning on
My Dell Desktop !!??!! wont start – Orange Flashing Light …?
My Dell desktop computer will not start. Every time I turn it on, instead of getting …. to the light in front (button) … anyone know how to fix this?
Could be, but is not necessarily the source supply. Try reinstalling the components like the processor, heatsink, fan, memory modules and PCI cards such as graphics and sound cards. Do not go spend money on parts without trying to fix it first. It might just need a cleaning as the fans behave like a vacuum sucking all the dust in the room. An old toothbrush and a vacuum cleaner with a length of plastic (to avoid static) should do the job. Do not let the fans turn while vacuum that they will generate electricity and damage the motherboard. If there is a failure, it is likely that the power supply, the motherboard, the card video (all equally likely), or perhaps the memory. You could try removing one memory stick at a time (if you have two) to test each one. I hope this helps you, Dave
