What's The Best Linux Distro For My Laptop Dell?
I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 with Intel Celeron 2.4 Ghz, 384 MB of RAM and a 28 GB hard drive. I am interested dumping winXP and running a Linux distro, but it has to be able to run a screen resolution of 1024 x 768, run a DVD / CDR, handled the audio speakers, and hopefully deal with power management and wireless PCMCIA cards, too. Not too much to ask, right? Well, I should also be able to put the same distro on my Dell XPS 400 desktop, and have them communicate with each other without wires. Thanks for all experience and expertise.
