Dell Desktop Raid 1
How do I go about replacing my desktop hard drive?
I have a Dell Precision with SATA hard drives. Two of them, both 250GB. One is marked with RAID 0, RAID and other one 1. My hard drive RAID 0 is bad, and I have a replacement coming soon. I believe that the drive is bad my "primary" and my computer boots from there. Question is, how should I go about doing this? I have a full backup of my computer using Acronis True Image. Should I replace the RAID 0 drive and format both drives and re-install Windows XP (I have the disc), then use my backup and recovery using Acronis? Or am I doing this too complicated? Thanks for all the suggestions.
