Gateway Desktop Sound Drivers
I'm looking for a sound driver?
I have an old Gateway desktop with Intel mobo, integrated sound, video and Ethernet adapter so the label on the Gateway is behind GM MFSTXP NT ES2 300. I was at the Gateway Web site and tried to search driver from the No PC serial I looked through the list of models gateway not found any clue to the exact drivers for the exact model. I also visited the Intel website, it is the mobo manufacturer, but there is no way to get exactly the mobo or model number is not readable on the mobo so if anyone have gone through the same thing with the exact model of the way please let me know. Other question, there are some utilities that scan your system for drivers missing or outdated and request updates driver detective known as is a good soft ware that does the job reliably, thanks in advance
Gateway does not offer much help unless it is a very recent model. http://www.driveragent.com go to run the free scan. I believe that the card came with a SIS (Silicon Integrated System), "media" or crystal chipset CMI. You should be able to open the cabinet and look at the MOBO, close to the audio output jacks place and read the letters on the cards.
