Gateway Desktop Troubleshooting

Gateway desktop does not boot after the BIOS screen. HELP!?

The screen shows the gateway computer, but will not pass it. Tried pressing F1 quick to get to the BIOS menu, and what did not. Next, I pressed F10 (which is the boot menu), and he would not go for what you want. It will not my boot disk or XP. Gateway does not help, because our warranty is expired, but they said to experience some issues with some jumper leads.
