Gateway Dx4300-03 Desktop
Gateway DX4300-03 8GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive?
Alright so I just got this desktop .. ima and player .. it has 8 GB of RAM and I tb hard drive .. a quad core .. How do I run into shooters .. I will load faster etc.. on a scale of 1-10 how good of a computer is this
Nothing you told us that will tell us something about how well it will run a game. The hard disk capacity has no effect on the speed with which the computer performs. The speed of the drive (either 7200 or 5400) will only affect the speed of the hard drive will read and write data. None of this is on computer speed. The RAM is not determine the speed as well. More RAM equals more programs can run simultaneously without lag (assuming the processor can keep up). Of course, the work RAM is more complicated than that … is exactly what has more RAM than the means. A Quad core is generally a good thing to have when games, but only because it is a quad core does not make it super fast. You can compare a quad core for a 2Ghz dual core 2.6Ghz (both Core 2) and Core 2 Duo (usually) be faster since most programs (especially games) do not support hyperthreading to the point where all four cores of a quad core is used for a program. If you want to know how well a game make, we need to know your video card brand and model. If it's anything Intel GMA, then you computer will run very little with the games.
