Gateway Dx4710
CPU has motherboard does not accept?
I have Gateway DX4710 – UB301A CPU was replaced by the original Intel Pentium E5200, but every time I turned not turn on again until I clear CMOS and got this error message: CMOS check sum error defaults loaded please any help and thanks in advance. Please do not tell me put back the original CPU is gone.
That motherboard has BIOS support for this processor. It took a little digging, but when you click on this link on "Components" in the next window click on the motherboard "4006259R", then the next window click on the "Specifications". http://support.gateway.com/s//PC/DX/1015694R/1015694Rnv.shtml According to the specifications of the motherboard: Intel Support E6xxx, E4xxx, Q6xxx Core ™ 2 dual and quad core. The E5200 is not listed, then you need to get one of the processors above, then go to gateway website and flash the BIOS.
