What can I do to get more battery life laptop?
Ok, so I'm buying the Gateway FX Edition Laptop P7807u, but I heard she has a shelf life Battery low quality, like a half hour or so. I was wondering what I could do to fix this problem. Something like an extra battery would be good. Also, any tips for saving energy of the laptop would be good. I think that when I go on planes, the battery will not last long. Any help is appreciated! =)

Bar none, the method more effective is the savings to darken the screen. Nothing sucks energy as LCD monitors, and darkening the screen as much as you can drain the battery power will reduce as significant. Each laptop has that option, or through a function key or the Control Panel of Windows. Windows users have the advantage here, as you can define hardware profiles. You can find this in System Properties in Control Panel. There should already be an active profile and the option to copy it should be available. Copy it and name it something meaningful and ensure that "This is the option of a portable computer 'is checked along with the option undocked. "Once you start for this profile, the real changes can be made through Device Manager. Here all external hardware can be turned off, such as Bluetooth, IR devices, Wireless etc. All that is not necessary when using the machine. You should see an option for which profile to use every time you boot machine. This will prevent you from having to fiddle with settings and disable hardware each battery time is a problem. Also, do not forget Windows built in Power Options. This is a quick way to reduce consumption and preserve battery life.
