Gateway Fx Keyboard
My laptop does not type anything! HELP!?
I have a Gateway P-6860 FX Laptop. It was leaked during the night. When I found I quickly cleaned it up. Been still playing the movie I went to sleep, then I realized I was fine, but when I went to the Start button, he typed a comma as the button was stuck. I restarted it, thinking it was just a glitch that would go away, but when it came back, that kind of thing. He did not receive any keyboard input. I connected an external keyboard, but would do nothing each. I have a password on my computer, so I can not go When I try to open the onscreen keyboard or even the closure of on-screen log-on, they simply close. Which leads me to believe that perhaps the [ESC] or something else is being introduced. I had two people tell me that's probably the motherboard and will cost $ $ $ Hard to fix. So now I'm just looking for some alternative ways to solve it, or any work arounds.
If you want to see it is the keyboard, then remove the external keyboard and try again. If it works normally, then you know it's just the keyboard that need to be replaced. If, however, you remove the keyboard, and external acts the same way … then you know it's the motherboard. If the keyboard is short-circuit, then remove it would eliminate the problem. So if it * is * the keyboard, you can easily purchase a replacement. Get it?
