Gateway Fx Laptop Overheating
First thing first, before you are going to buy a 40G PS3, one thing you should know: If you play your old PS2 games, you may need to buy a 60G model PS3 or 80G model PS3.
Remember, PS3 40G is not backwards compatibility! You can not play your PS2 games in this PS3 40G. (I did not do my homework before I bought this PS3 40G, so my PS2 games are still in the dusty now)
OK now back to the topic
I bought this PS3 40G, because I want to watch Blu-ray on my Sony 40 inch LCD (1080i) HDTV. And I knew that the PS3 has a built-in Blu-ray (I think a lot of people buy this PS3 because of ray player built-in Blu-). One day, when my brother told me he bought a 40G Play Station 3 Circuit City with price of U.S. $ 399 (which was for sale), and he told me how "cool season" play their 3 is well, I just bought this 40G play station 3 (the package includes a Spider 'Man – 3 "Blu-ray Disc).
This 40G play station 3 has HDMI compatible, which means that I can use this 40G play station 3 to watch all the movies in high definition on my Sony 40 inch LCD (1080i) HDTV and my new Gateway 24-inch LCD HD monitor. (Another system of two famous game, the Wii has no HD player, and xbox360 to pay more than $ 170 for an HD-DVD player). However, this 40G model PS3 did not include HDMI, so I had to spend $ 6 to buy an HDMI cable from amazon.com.
This PS3 40G has the ability to build wireless to connect to the internet and access is free. Can I use Windows Media as a media server to share files wirelessly thought my PC for this PS3 40G (there are a lot of movies on YouTube to show how to share files from your PC with the PS3).
This 40G PS3 includes a wireless controller (It is very nice, personally, I really hate to have a mass of wires everywhere). If you want to play a game of 2 players with your friend at the same time, you need to buy another wireless controller (about $ 49 at Circuit City).
This PS3 40G does not include a remote controller (like a remote control TV, see photo above), so I had to buy a remote control, with $ 28 from amazon.com. I used this PS3 40G for watching Blu-ray, and pictures of my baby in my Sony 40 inch LCD HDTV. The High-Definition makes the graphics are really amazing! I recommend people to buy an HDMI cable for the PS3. Using the HDMI cable can really tell the different between normal and high-definition quality. When I play Motor Storm PS3 game (I bought a used $ 25 from amazon.com). It's so cool, The Game seems so real.
A problem that may an interest, this 40G play station 3 runs little hot after 40 minutes, and a little slower to load the game (over my original expect).
Above all, this PS3 40G is fantastic, and I'm really enjoying this PS3 40G. It is my worth every penny!
This PS3 40G is running hot (no problem yet another) after 30 minutes, I think I need to buy a cooler for the baby.
