Gateway Fx Restore

Card reader stops working after 20 minutes or so?

Hello everyone, I have a Gateway FX 6801-09h Desktop (Windows 7 x 64) PC and I have had a problem where, after about 30 minutes, my built in card reader to recognize cards. Besides not working, the statement that has crashed is no 'devices and printers' section of the control panel, where the icon usb.2.0 CRW "get a little caution yellow triangle next to it. I tried using the button to solve problems, but says it can not detect any knowledge questions. There are no drivers for this product available from Gateway (as far as I know) and System Restore is not an option (do not ask). Not just the card slot, is the whole thing. There is the 'copy', located in the player, but that does not respond after the player fails to function. I'm not really sure what else I could do, any help is much appreciated!
