Gateway One Mouse Not Working
My computer needs a new motherboard?
I have a Gateway P4 3.2GHz with an 80GB SATA hard drive. Lately, it just hangs on any screen as it is idle for a while. I have to unplug it to turn it off. After the call, he is in so far as the Gateway screen and just stops. If I turn it on and off repeatedly with the power cord, sometimes it will boot fine. On one occasion, I reloaded OS hoping that would help but not! It's working now and if I turn immediately and not let it idle for very minute, I have 50-50 chance load. If it hangs, the mouse, keyboard, power button, nothing will work, but it stays on. It's my mother?
It could be a problem of RAM. Download memtest online for free and burn it to a disk. Boot disk and let run a couple of hours to see if it is a memory problem.
