Refurbished Gateway Desktop Computers
Is this a good price for a new Gateway computer?
$ 429.99 at Gateway GM5259E Tigerdirect: Refurbished Intel Desktop – Intel PD 820 2.8GHz (Dual-Core), 1GB DDR2, 200GB SATA II HDD, DVD ± RW Dual Layer, Flash Media Reader, Intel GMA950 Graphics, Windows XP Media Center 90-day warranty on parts and labor. Thanks for your opinions. Based on the experiences of others, I'm trying to avoid Vista.
This is definitely a great price. The only concern that I have for you is that they are only offering a guarantee of 90 days. Dell and HP (the last I knew), offer a full 1 year warranty on their refurbished models. Is also making a good move to avoid Vista right now. I do not think it's worth even trying, until at least Service Pack 1. In Moreover, not afraid of the renewal. These PC's have to go through more tests of new models for businesses to sell them, so your less likely to have problems. Good choice.
