no icons or tool bar on desktop?
No icons or tool bar on desktop!!!!?
My sony vaio laptop does not show any icons or tool bars, only background picture/wallpaper and mouse, I can open task manager. I heard this could be a virus, anyone know how to fix this problem
right click does not work, I’m sure icons/toolbar is not just hidden
I have tryed opening via task manager but the tool bar pops up for only a second. If i copy the explorer file how do i copy it to the bad machine without access to explorer, thanks again
Your explorer.exe file is not opening. If you hit Ctrl + Alt + Del and click on tast manager, then go to file>run and type in explorer.exe…this will get your desktop back up and running. However, your explorer file is probably corrupt and not opening correctly on boot. So now you have 2 options. Copy the explorer.exe file from your good machine to the bad machine, via a flash drive, cd, or another removable device, or use the internet to download the explorer file. If this does not help, let me know and I can assist you. But this is how you would get around it. There is a virus that corrupts your explorer file, which may have happened, and this will fix it.
