Sony Vaio Desktop Recovery Partition

My Sony Vaio isn't recover?

Hey, I have a Sony Vaio PCV-RS630G desktop running Windows XP Home Edition. I went to restore my computer to its original factory condition. It was going well until about half gives me an error that says "An error occurred when creating the recovery partition. I contacted Sony, but they were no help at all. So im here now. Any help is appreciated, Thanks I looked at the items off, everything was plugged in.

I think you do not have a hard drive. You need to find a way to check your hard disk for errors. I suggest you download 'Hard Disk Drive Regenerator "http://download.cnet.com/HDD-Regenerator/3000-2248_4-10330123.html You'll burn it to a CD and boot your computer to the CD. Depending on the hard disk size and the number of bad sectors that is – may take a while. I usually run it while I sleep Hope this helps.
