My computer can handle more RAM than the maximum memory capacity?
In crucial.com I ran a system scan and evaluate my memory capacity of 2048MB still have four slots for RAM that can store up to 1 GB each. will recognize 3GB. Its a Sony VAIO VGC-RB44G Desktop. Wheel Windows XP SP2. Thank you.
The more memory that the model can address is 2 GB, not more. It is a limitation of the motherboard. Run 2 – 1GB DDR400 and 2 — 512MB DDR400, and install them correctly for dual channel mode.
