Dell Desktop Linux

dell desktop linux
I want a new computer what kind should I get? ?

Mac – I already have one and I am not satisfied with anything! Linux On Dell laptops please tell me what are some problems with the system, as well as some of the best features. I want to be able to play The Sims 2, with customized content and Adobe Photoshop.

Well, the two big questions are: AMD or Intel and what is your budget? I would go with a quad core, AMD (Phenom) or an Intel Q core, quad. And, Asus, Gigabyte or MSI motherboard. From what you described, you do not need SLI, so if you can live with a single PCIe card, which is great. There a number of options for the motherboard, but the first thing you want to do is find the microprocessor that you want and then which motherboard with what resources. I would not waste my time on motherboards cheap … because no matter how good your processor, if you get a cheapo mobo, you have a cheapo computer. If you are wanting to do photoshop and illustrations, graphics are your thing, I'd go with AMD, a new and better video card, AMD Radeon 9850 (best nVidia 280x), a single card. So, get 4 GB of high speed DDR2 1066 MHz RAM (I only have 4 GB of RAM Patriot DDR2 1066 $ 99.95). You have to make sure the motherboard supports. And a minimum of 500 gigabytes of hard drive. Seagate or Western Digital. And like a 20X DVD / CD burner, or Liteon Pino. A 650 Watt Antec power And an Antec TruePower 900 Case, and I think you would have a massive computer. These are my recommendations. With a computer like this, you will be able to all your artwork and even play some games:) PS – Stick with XP Pro, for now, unless you want to venture into Vista.

My Ubuntu Linux desktop on my Dell D610.
