How to restore a desktop computer using Windows XP Home / Professional to factory settings?
I'm helping someone who does not know nothing about computers and no computer was infected with a ton of viruses because there is virus protection has expired. About the computer is actually broken. They bought an external hard drive and want to get the old files from the computer, such as Itunes, photos, Word documents, and anything else they need. I am sure you can get the files off, but how do you do a restore the computer to its factory settings is about 4 years old. They only bought a notebook for you and the kids want to use the old desktop broken play on the web.
if windows xp, just put the Windows disk in the drive and reboot. it should run the disk automatically. There is an option to clean the first disk … clean the disk, then install Windows XP.
